Environmental & Sustainability Policy

SF Taylor is committed to a policy of ongoing sustainable business practices and environmental responsibility and take this into account at all stages of business planning, development and production. We are aware we have a responsibility in the way we carry out our work and are fully committed to reducing or eliminating any negative impacts our actions may have on the environment. By identifying any significant impacts, we have on the environment and modifying or controlling how we operate, we will ensure that these impacts are reduced to a minimum.

Our Environmental & Sustainability Policy and EQM Policy’s are implemented through an Environmental & Quality Management System (EQMS) based on the requirements of the international standards – ISO 14001: 2015 and ISO 9001: 2015. Our Senior Management will take accountability for the effectiveness of this Policy.

Waste Reduction

We ensure 100% of our waste is either recycled or converted to RDF (Refuse Derived Fuel), a method used to turn general waste into a fuel that can be used in Energy from Waste facilities to generate heat and power, rather than sending the waste to landfill.

Carbon Reduction

We have set a target of achieving net zero in greenhouse gas emissions over Scopes 1-3 by the year 2040. We will ensure we disclose our performance to net zero on an annual basis.

Supply Chain

We ensure due diligence is performed for all potential and existing suppliers to ensure they have adopted and continually improve their own environmental and sustainable business practices. All of our Policies are communicated to our existing and potential suppliers.

Legal & Regulatory Obligations

We ensure that all customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements are determined, understood and consistently met.

Environmental & Sustainability Awareness

We work to deliver continual improvement via our EQMS, focusing specifically on, C02 emissions, electricity, vehicle emissions, discharge to drains and water usage by raising awareness and encouraging participation and training of our employees in sustainable working methods. We communicate the importance of Environmental & Sustainability Awareness to all staff and ensure that all resources needed are available, including training as required.

This policy’s scope applies to all areas of SF Taylor and will be communicated to all employees and organisations working for or on our behalf. Employees and other organisations are expected to co-operate and assist in the implementation of this Policy, whilst ensuring that their own work, so far as is reasonably practicable, is carried out without risk to themselves, others, or the environment. This Policy will be reviewed periodically by senior management and revised so that it remains appropriate to the scale and nature of the business.
